MAHANA House, Nelson, NZ

A contemporary addition to an existing house on a Nelson Winery. Referencing forms of surrounding orchards and farms, a local vernacular is projected onto a box created by the internal functions. The interior is an art gallery for living in, utilitarian spaces becoming secondary to the zen like contemplation spaces.
